Cheryl is a family music artist, songwriter and author of children's musicals. She combines her knowledge of child development and music to produce songs for kids that have lasting value. Her concerts are fun with music,and props for both children and adults. Her music is music with an important message; the truth of God's word as found in the Bible! When you hear this music Bible truths, stories, and characters come alive! Music with a message for the precious hearts of children around the world. Let's not give children only sugary treats but a gospel with real meat!
She has been a Christian since she was 16 when gave her life to Jesus as her Lord and Savior at a Saturday night evangelistic concert. Since that time the Lord has drawn her into worship leading and then ministry through the arts.
While primarily leading worship for adults she received a call from the Lord to reach His children through music. "Its Time for Kids to take their place in the Kingdom of God, to know His great love and to tell the world about Jesus!" Soon after the Lord spoke to her she began to "hear" new songs for kids.
Since 1995 she has been writing children's songs for many ministry events.
She also writes and sings adult worship songs and is planning on recording a new worship album.
Cheryl, is a singer, songwriter, author of children's stories, and music recording artist, for the whole family! She sings fun, original scripture-based songs which she has composed, accompanied by her guitar and album tracks. She can perform solo, work with your worship band, or bring together a band for your event. Songs range from upbeat fun Bible story songs and proclamation of scripture, to songs of worship, adoration and praise.
Her concerts are fun for children and their families! Using props and interactive movement children learn the truth of God's word through her music and stories.
She has written and performed songs for many ministry events and has written and directed four Christmas Musicals (The Clockmaker, A Clockmaker Christmas, The Music Box, The Shepherd's Surprise).
She combines her knowledge of child development and the arts in teaching music, art, and drama to ages pre-school through 7th grade in schools, and churches, as well as speaking for groups that minister to moms such as MOPS(Mother's of Preschoolers). She teaches workshops and speaks on the benefits of music and child development, creative worship leading , and songwriting.
Songs from Cheryl's album "We Are His Workmanship" can be heard on radio networks and individual stations with children's programming in the United States and other countries. She has four songs published with Vineyard Music Group (Hey-O, Fishers of Men), (and co-written Hide Me in the Shelter, Marriage of the Lamb).
Cheryl has shared her music and message for children and families on radio and television. Recently she was interviewed on KFSG Christian radio "Let's Talk" Show Los Angeles ,California, KBRT Christian radio "Heart of a Woman" show, and a cable program in Orange County,California,
She is married to David and they are blessed with 3 wonderful children!
