“Colors of God’s love for you and me.”

Psalm 100:3

Psalm 100:3 New Living Translation (NLT)

Acknowledge that the Lord is God!
He made us, and we are his.[a]
We are his people, the sheep of his pasture.

Did you ever wish you looked different or had a talent you admired in someone else?

“If you receive a special way—use it or lose it”

By Cheryl Deborah Thomas

Do you use what God has given you?

Matthew 25:14-30 New Living Translation (NLT)

Parable of the Three Servants

14 “Again, the Kingdom of Heaven can be illustrated by the story of a man going on a long trip. He called together his servants and entrusted his money to them while he was gone. 15 He gave five bags of silver[a] to one, two bags of silver to another, and one bag of silver to the last—dividing it in proportion to their abilities. He then left on his trip.

Faith and Patience!

“So, have faith, faith, faith, and mix a little patience!”

Hebrews 6:12 (New International Version (NIV)

12 We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.

This is important:

We can learn so much from the life of a man who never gave up, or gave into fear even though the majority around him shouted out amongst the fearful desert dwellers.

God’s salvation reigns in the earth and our lives when we pray! Salvation and goodness are God’s creations! God wants us to pray for everyone to be saved. Every boy and girl, every nation, all our loved ones.

Isaiah 45:8 is a prayer and cry for the Lord to open the heavenly kingdom for us here on earth.

 Break Every Chain!

“He has given us liberty, broken every chain!”

Psalm 47

For the choir director: A psalm of the descendants of Korah-a psalm.

Psalm 47New Living Translation (NLT)

Come, everyone! Clap your hands!
Shout to God with joyful praise!
For the Lord Most High is awesome.
He is the great King of all the earth.

We praise God with great applause and joy because He is our highly, honored ruler, and King who brings us deliverance from bondage (chains of sin) and victory over darkness. Praise is spiritual warfare and defeats the enemy. When we praise God our focus on Him is worship and God dwells during our Praise!

When we watch an exciting sports game or a beautiful performance we clap our hands with great enthusiasm to show our approval.  How much more are we to praise God and clap our hands for His amazing love and victory that He gives to us, His children! Our God is stunning and magnificent.  Just look at the beauty of Nature and Creation and think about how intelligently detailed and original, and creative it is! If you look at clouds or the moon and the stars, or the tiniest creature you will see His amazing love and intelligence!

God also puts our enemies under our feet…which means He gives us the ultimate victory over the dark spiritual kingdom that tries to discourage or defeat us. He dwells in our praise and with His Presence He brings everything we need.  He fights our battles and His Kingdom wins! Let’s sing to Him a “thank you” song from our hearts!

What are some things you can praise God for?

What are some things you would like God to do for you? Thank Him in advance for the answers!

How can I be a stronger person?

I was raised to “be strong” and to be independent.  Some of that “strength” was real and some of it was a coping mechanism to hide my vulnerable, self. A self that had not seen the light or love of God yet.

I wrote a song called:  "We Are His Workmanship" from Ephesians 2:10 after I had read this scripture.

I was fascinated that God had planned things for me to do even before I was born!

I wondered how I would walk those works out?

I found my answer in the Bible....

Today I want to tell you a story that happened years ago when my eldest daughter was starting her dance lessons at a local studio.  At first the songs used were family friendly and fun;  however, after a few years, they began to use songs that were compromising to our faith and family.  The lyrics of the songs they were dancing to were not appropriate. I had to pull my daughter out of dance temporarily as I could not find any dance studios that matched our values at her level.  This got me thinking how important it was to provide biblical and family friendly content that would give them lasting eternal value in their pursuits of the arts. As a piano, guitar, and voice teacher, I put songs from my CD's into music teaching books so that a student can learn the bible while they are learning their instrument!  Our emphasis is to glorify God through learning the arts.  All creativity comes from God, so the best learning includes Him!  Goodness and morality cannot be separated from faith in God, as they do not exist apart from God and His Word.  That's why I love to write songs, stories and scripts from the Bible. Truth from the Bible is our foundation in the songs, stories. and scripts.

Please leave a comment or share your story.  Have a great day!  Blessings, Cheryl

HI Friends,

I have been working on new Bible-based stories and a new series ...a flock of birds telling Bible Stories.  My daughter and I went to a Creatives conference and it was so good!  Many of us have "babies" our talents that we need to nurture and help grow up. I actually was an art teacher years ago and I realized I needed to pick up the baby of "art" again and start illustrating my stories.  I have been mostly focused on music and songwriting and singing which I will continue.  In fact this past summer I was leading worship for the little ones at a Vacation Bible School and wrote some new songs about Elijah, Naaman the leper, and others.  So I will be recording those soon.  I also would love to hear from you all :)  blessings, and Merry Christmas!

I love seeing what the Lord will do in answer to prayer.  I am the music director/worship leader at a CBS bible study and we have a wonderful home school program for elementary.  We just kicked off our study of the book of Revelation chapter 1. I asked the Holy Spirit to inspire me to write a song for today's lesson.  I only had about 20 minutes so it would have to be God!  He helped me write the song in under 20 minutes...all to His Glory! I will posting the song soon...its from Revelation 1:12-18  an amazing description of Jesus.  Eyes like flames of fire, a Voice of Many Waters, His Face shining like the Sun!  I feel so blessed to be able to seek the Lord in my music. For me I can memorize scripture much better set to music.  I know that is true for many of you as well.
